Y Bhutan is a visionary venture co-founded by Johnny Wu, Renato Carregha, and Farmer Sangay. It aims to globalize Bhutan’s artisanal talent by exporting authentic, Bhutanese-produced apparel and products. The focus is on empowering local artisans, particularly women, by combining sustainable luxury with the rich heritage of Bhutanese craftsmanship and offering exclusive high-quality goods to customers from around the world. Y Bhutan operates on a lean model, carefully managing resources to expand into new product lines while continuing to economically support its artisan suppliers. 

Despite its vibrant culture, Bhutan remains relatively isolated from the global market. With limited travel connections and no standardized export route for its unique crafts, many artisans find it challenging to share their talents beyond Bhutan’s borders. Y Bhutan seeks to change this narrative. By partnering closely with local craftspeople, we are pioneering a pathway for Bhutanese artistry to reach international markets. Our vision? To generate a positive economic impact in Bhutan, celebrating its culture, and sharing its stories with the world.
